It’s not a heater it’s a air purifier anything electrical has some heat from being power to an outlet hopefully this helps answer your question

The electricity used is released as heat to its surrounding, but even on max performance mode it does not generate more heat than a single typical incandescent light bulb. With this said, it's best to avoid placement in the following areas a) Wet or damp surfaces b) Outdoor areas c) Spaces that are enclosed and may contain explosive or toxic fumes or vapors (lighter fluid, gasoline, kerosene, paint, paint thinners, mothproofing substances, or flammable dust). For best results, be sure that the air purifier is placed on a flat floor surface, at least 3 inches (10 cm) away from the walls and other objects, and near an electrical outlet.
