Yes, that can be normal for the NeverChange the first time you start it in a room. When you turn the unit on initially (or move it to a new space), the air purifier’s sensors calibrate and sample the air. During this short learning period, it’s common for the air quality reading to briefly show 100 or another high number. As the purifier continues running and circulating air, the reading should gradually adjust and decrease as the unit cleans the air and the sensor stabilizes. If the reading stays at 100 for an extended period (for example, after 30–60 minutes in a clean room), that may indicate active airborne particles or a need to check filter installation, but an initial high reading on startup is expected behavior.
