• I just bought mine two days ago and I'm having the same issue. I've tried it on every setting and it just turns red. I used it on my daughter rug which is a heavier rug and it did just fine, just doesn't work on my thin rugs.

• The PowerDetect system on this model automatically increases suction on carpets, which can make it feel like the vacuum is grabbing thinner rugs. While there isn’t a manual suction‑strength adjustment, switching the vacuum from Carpet mode to Hard Floor mode will reduce the suction and help prevent the vacuum from pulling the rug up.
