You don’t need to hold a button for normal operation on the Shark PowerPro vacuum. Press the power button once to turn it on, and again to turn it off. For extra power, pull and hold the handheld trigger to activate Boost mode, then release to return to standard suction. In Detect mode, the vacuum automatically adjusts suction and brush roll speed based on the floor type.
