What kind of water does it need? null

Best to use distilled to avoid mineral build up.

I just use regular tap water and it works great.

Did not check the instructions, however, I've used carbon filtered water from my refridgerator in order to have the cleanest possible water to minimize internal calcification in the unit. No problems as of yet and I've had over a year. I'm sure deionized or distilled would work well too.
