Check near the base for the two pieces of tape that say "remove after assembly" . It should oscillate then.

Make sure on the remote you are pushing the oscillation button and then select what degree of oscillation you wanti.e., like 45, 90 degrees, etc...

Call Best Buy or Shark. It is warrantied and they will help you out.
