“power settings? Can you set multiple power settings at one time? If I am cooking rice, for example, I would start at 100% for 5 minutes and then want 50% power for 15 minutes. Will this microwave do that?”

I do not believe multiple power settings are possible. Set the power setting once for the cooking time. It is possible to set the power setting and cook for example 1 minute, then after after one minute put in a different power setting and cook time, but not automatically from the original setting.
