• There is no rotating tray. I believe they accomplish the evenness of the heating in other ways now. We have not noticed any hot spots so far. Really nice microwave.

• There is no rotating tray--a good thing in my opinion! Just a flat surface that's easy to see, use and keep clean! We have found cooking to be extremely even--no hot or cold spots!
