Can you turn off or dim the alarms null

You can shut off the sound by holding the #8 for 5 seconds. This stops the sound when pushing buttons to cook but will not silence the alarm at the end of the cooking cycle.

The manual (pg 21) states that you should be able to activate/deactivate silent mode by pressing the 8 buttons for 3 seconds until there's a loud beep.
