QuestionOur Sharp r1505 has died after 14 yrs. What sharp would be comparable since cabinets were custom built for this unit.

Questioncontrol paneling for visually impairedI am uncertain about what is visible on the control panel (two colors etc.). My 88 year old father is visually impaired and needs more than black on black controls. Do these back-lite?

QuestionWhy does Best Buy not offer a protection plan for any Sharp Over the Range Microwaves?Other major department stores offer a protection plan for Sharp over the range microwaves, but Best Buy only offers it on Sharp counter top microwaves and all other brand over the range microwaves. Why?

- Answer Best Buy does offer extended warranties on their Over the Counter Microwave units. We just bought one with a five year extended.

QuestionWall mount space neededI need a microwave with rear height to be 16 inch or less as my wall mounting space only accommodates a microwave whose rear height is 16.25 or less. Will this microwave fit in my slot ? if not are there any other models by you that meets my requirements

As the height of this Microwave is 16 1/4" (16.25") it should be appropriate for you current mounting height requirement. Please take into consideration the other dimensions of the Microwave as well, width (29 15/16"), and depth (15 9/16"). QuestionMicrowave SizesI need an over the range microwave that is 30 x 15. All the newer ones are 30 x 17.

- Answer Currently, we do not manufacture a stainless microwave with 30x15 dimensions. We do offer the standard black and white microwave with 30x15 dimensions. The model numbers are 1405 and 1406.

QuestionHow much clearance is need for door to swing fullu open?I have a tight fit for a microwave with a cabinet on the side where the microwave door swings out. The cabinet extends out to the full length of the gas range. From the picture it appears that there might be enough room for the door to swing wide open before coming into contact with the side of the cabinet. Is that the case? I would prefer not to have to have the cabinet remade.
