• A:Answer No CD player. Would have been a nice option but still OK with out it. Also the music light can be turned off. One option i cannot find is the dc cigarette lighter power cord. The boombox has the connection. i even contacted Sharp who did not have it.

Q: QuestionI saw that the unit has a USB jack, so obviously a USB drive could be used. My question was: will this Sharp Boombox play MP3 (other?) files directly from a flash drive? - Or do you need a MP3 Player for playback, with the USB used as an audio IN line.

• A:Answer Hello Nasby, this unit can play files directly from your phone when in the accessory mode and also a mass storage device (Flash drive). The file format of the tracks has to be MP3 to be compatible.

• A:Answer Hello, based on your inquiry the guitar input jack is specifically for a guitar connection and so once you connect the guitar to this device the sound should be able to be amplified from the device. Based on the battery life of the unit this is dependent on the type battery that is used. It is required to use 2 “AAA” size batteries (UM/SUM-4, R3, HP-16 or similar).
