I can't even get past the setup because it wants me to put in a credit card number for a Roku account. I do not want an account. I see no reason I should have to give a credit card card to set up a TV to watch regular television. How can I bypass Roku? null

I was able to bypass that requirement. Perhaps just choose "continue " without entering credit card info.
