“Can the stand be modified? Shortened a little? It will go under cabinets in the kitchen. 14" w/stand will be a tight fit. Do you think I could sand or cut 1/4" off the top of the stand to get the total height down to 13 3/4"?”

• I doubt it. The way it is molded, probably would not work. It is very light. The bottom of the set almost touches the stand. You really wouldn't gain that much if you did. Maybe some heavy duty Velcro strips all around the back might work. Or some along the front bottom edge to keep it from sliding forward. Only weighs about 6 pounds. Good luck.
