“the Sharp works for a little bit, then stops. any advice? when i turn on the sharp, it plays for about 2 min then it just shuts down. This has been happening to me for about 2 months now.”

• Mine would shut off after 10 mins. I pressed the sleep timer til it said "OFF" then I turned it off. Now, when I turn it off, it says "goodbye, checking, then goodbye, then it shuts off. I hope this works for you. :)
