“Does the remote actually turn unit on and off? I like to listen to my local classical station in bed, and want to be able to turn it off at night and turn it on in the morning without getting up. The last small system I bought for my bedroom was a Jensen that said it was "remote controlled," but all the remote would control was the CD player. If I can't turn the radio on and off with the included remote, I don't want to buy the system. Help please.”

• Hi Kate. Yes this remote does allow functionality of turning OFF/ON the radio.
