Yes, I am quite sure you could make the wires longer. You will need to splice in to the middle of the existing wires. Not sure if there are different types of speaker wire, but anything that looks to be the same size should work. By the way, we like this player, good sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you can extend the wires by adding standard speaker wire. I needed to do the same with my unit and had done this with my old stereo as well. I bought speaker wire from Lowes and connected them together with wire nuts. The new wire will be larger than the ones on the speaker itself and should have a faint white stripe on one of the wires so you can keep track of the wire color connection.
