I love the music quality. It is nice to have a cd player, radio and cassette player all in one. My only problem is that I can not find a power button on the actual unit. Usually your first set of batteries come with the remote, but since they didn't I have not been able to find the power button. I love the unit other then that. I have even hooked up the Bluetooth to the device. The surround sound makes it sound like the bands are right in the house with me.

It has been so long since I 've been able to get lost in my music. But with the 5 CD changer I am in music heaven. Being able to play 5 CDs was the reason I purchased this item. The system does a lot and it has taken me a bit to get familiar with all the buttons. ECO will turn off main display. Have not figured out to keep the time on the display....but I will. And the music plays on.

This is a very nice component. The sound is fantastic and I thoroughly enjoy listening to my favorite music, whether it’s cd, cassette or radio. I am impressed. Also, I don’t have to change my cd after it ends because I have 4 more that will play.

I purchased this stereo system, it was not what I expected. Without raising the base to level five sound sounds like crap. So you have to raise the base level to level five and it still sounds like crap you have to push the button for extra bass in order for you. To hear the sound that you should normally here at level five without extra bass. When you hit the button for extra bass it’s still not loud enough. When you hit the button to lower the volume level of the base level it will not go back down to level one it stays locked. And when you hit the CD open up the door for city one it opens up and closes instantly before you can even put the CD in. The font lettering on the stereo system is sooooooo small in print Font you can barely even read what it says the stereo system it’s not worth the price that they’re selling it for very disappointed also you cannot store your favorite radio stations with a remote control. You have to search for your favorite radio station. System is hard to set up for Bluetooth. Very unhappy with this product As you can see in the pictures you can’t even see the font lettering even up close in the picture. This is a crappy product. Not worth $219 with taxes

Got this to listen to some old cassettes of music I used to perform way back when. Some cassettes are over 40 years old and am having them restored, but many are mystery cassettes. So those memories will just have to be copied as I can do on my own. Set up was easy enough, but the instructions were a bit lacking. That is the only reason I did not rate it 5 stars. This seems to be the norm in most electronic and computer equipment I have bought. It is a shame that this is not a higher priority for manufacturers to provide when it makes all the difference on how well one can operate and enjoy a new sound system or whatever. When I played the first CD, I was blown away by how good it sounded. Cassettes sound better then ok, despite the age and wear. I am happy with it after only having it for a few hours.

In general, this is a very good system. I was looking for something with a multi-disk changer and would link with my tablet, laptop, and phone. This does all of that plus has a tape deck, which was an unexpected bonus. The reason I only rated it 4 stars is that the directions were not easy to read or always follow. I had to play with the system a lot more than I thought I should have to so that I could make things link up. Other than that, I am really happy with this purchase.

A Quirky but Very Nice Stereo Shelf System

Five stars for a $200 system? I unboxed the system, hooked up the speakers, placed all three pieces atop one of my bookshelves, inserted two AAA batteries in the remote; meanwhile, I loaded five discs into the five trays. When I hit "play" on the remote, I heard music. The sound is surprisingly good, considering 1) it's a shelf-system, and 2) I'm playing AAD classical recordings from the 60's. Bass and treble settings go from 1 to 5, and the X-Bass feature provides some nice "umph". I never opened the instructions - using the CD function is intuitive. However, I will read the instructions when it comes to using other features (AM/FM, cassette, Bluetooth, etc.). It's "quirky" because when you use the remote to turn off the system, it says "good-bye", although the LED lights remain on and periodically cycle, even on "stand-by" mode. So the system is "asleep", but lights remain "on". Weird. I can either "live with that", or turn off my surge protector ... so we'll see. I wonder how long the LED system will continue to work before I lose functionality? I'm going to purchase a second system, but this time I will purchase the protection plan, because this is indeed a "quirky" but curious product. Loading compact discs and changing them makes no more noise than a large, 5-or-6 disc unit; the system whirls while it cycles, but that's normal, and I hear no out of the ordinary "noise issues". So I'm pleased, and hope to remain so going forward.

The system is easy to set up and the quality of the sound is excellent. The lettering on the main unit is very faint and can only be read in bright light close up. The remote unit is not as intuitive as on previous versions of Sharp's similar systems. The cassette player is a welcome addition as some people still have cassettes they enjoy.

This system is JUST what I was looking for. The sound is awesome and it has so many features that I need. I have placed it in the front of the room on top of a filing cabinet and I was able to separate the speakers so one is up even higher in the room for better sound distribution. There is a remote (YEAH!!!) and a tape cassette player (I still have a couple of tapes that the children love!!). In addidtion, it is so convenient to have 5 CD drawers. Also ~ it is Bluetooth embedded and has a USB port. Although I haven't used it, I did hook up the antenna for AM radio and connected the FM wire as well. The directions were very clear and I set everything up myself. The children have all been telling me how much they like the new stereo and I am so pleased. I can't say enough about this wonderful system !!!! :)

    Great Unit for the Money

This unit plays cassettes as well as CD's Bluetooth etc., which is why I bought it. Not many choices are available with cassette but this one was the best value for the money. Works well, plenty of power. Speaker wire is only about 36" long but it worked for my situation. Operation instructions are detailed and I suggest you read the manual to learn how to use remote and select among all the options (input source, shuffle songs and CDs. I bought an open-box and it was great and had all the manuals, etc. Remote requires 2 AAA batteries which are not included.

This stereo has all of the features that I was looking for. I can load 5 cds and start them playing. They will play progressively on their own for a long time while I work. I also have a large collection of cassettes from the 80s. It can play them too. The fm works ok. I will add a tv antenna and cable, which will plug into the back. There is one thing that I really do not like about it. You have to use the remote to 'boot' it up. Tell me what if the batteries corrode in the remote.

Love it Love it Love it. This sound system is the best and I can't believe I was able to get before Christmas and surprise my wife with it. It was the best Christmas ever and it was exactly what I was looking for. It was just what I needed to surprise my wife with when I got her her favorite Bruno Mars 24K Magic album on CD but no sound system to play it on or so she thought, until I sprung it on her last minute in front of everybody. To see her face go from "Aw no cd player to play it on" to tears of joy and laughter. She was ecstatic. Made her Christmas and her day and mine. Has everything from AM/FM radio to 5 CD, cassette and bluetooth. Amazing sound quality too and the price was exactly what I was looking for. Couldn't beat it. Should be worth more but glad it wasn't costly. Thank you Best Buy. Christmas was priceless.

I only very recently purchased the stereo and haven't had a chance to really try out everything yet, but I have used the CD player a bit, which is what I was looking for - a multi-disc player. My first bookshelf stereo I purchased when they were new to the market in the early '90's for over $600 (and that was with a company discount!), was a high end brand that came in 2 pieces plus speakers had lasted 20 years and endured several moves and much abuse. By the time it died, bookshelf stereos were not as high quality. I found another one that still had pretty decent sound, but it only lasted about 5 years without the abuse. Then I went cheap and bought one online and the sound was so awful I didn't use it at all. (I'm very picky about having a good, full sound range with lots of bass), plus you could hardly pick up any radio signal. I went several years not listening to any music at home, then started shopping around, looking online then at Best Buy and ran across this Sharp. The reviews were pretty decent both places and it had the 5 disc changer, which was something I really wanted - at least 3 discs - and the price was reasonable, plus it fit in the space I had. I wasn't sure what to expect when I set it up, but when I put a CD in and turned it on, I was blown away by the sound! I haven't played much with the settings, but the preset one has more than enough bass and treble/mid-range for me. Like I said at the top, I haven't tried everything out yet, including putting all 5 discs in, so hopefully all works as it should and it lasts longer than my last decent one. I'm certainly not expecting 20 years out of it like my high end one because they don't make stereos like they used to, but 10 years would be nice.

I purchased this sound system so that I could play my CDs. The Bluetooth capability is an added bonus, so I stream music from my IPad and phone too. Set up was super easy - I’m a girl and really not tech savvy but the instructions were very good and I had the system up and running in no time. The sound is excellent! I like a lot of bass so the Xbass feature is great for me. I am once again able to enjoy listening to my music collection on a quality player. For the price, this system checks all my boxes and I would definitely buy one again. Highly recommended!

Great system, very happy with my purchase. The clarity whether listening to a CD or the Radio is great, something that was lacking with my old system (not saying the Product). Bluetooth connection, able to listen on Android, Cassette tape . Also timer and sleep operation and remote control.
