A:AnswerThe newer DVD player should allow you to hook up via an HDMI cable. The VCR you should be able to utilize the color coded inputs found on the back of the TV. You would need to be sure you know which input the cords are going into when you need to switch between the items on your TV.
A:AnswerThrough experience, the cables that convert vga to hdmi will not work. The one I have and works is a conversion box that has to be powered by an electrical socket. The one I have splits the vga to 2 hdmi signals for two tv's. I don't have a link because I bought this over three years ago.
