A smart TV will allow you to access apps such as Netflix/Hulu/etc, since this sharp tv is a "dumb" tv you will need to hook it up to a playstation/fire tv/apple tv/any media box in order to access the same apps. However the quality of the picture should be no different on a comparable model, and if you already have a playstation/media box there really isn't a need for a "smart" tv. Overall I prefer a "dumb tv" hooked up to a media box such as the fire tv, since "smart" tv's are notorious for being laggy (slow and cumbersome) on low-end models (under $500) and having limited access to certain apps (amazon prime video/kodi/etc).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This one does not have Wifi, but has more HDMI ports, and Roku isn't installed into the set.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The smart TV has built in Wifi and the Roku built in, but what it doesn't have is AV or more commonly known as RCA cable input which is needed for some older gaming devices, and such. I chose this one, because I already have a Roku, and needed the AV port.
