“I just picked this tv up and was wondering if it's normal for the home screen to have faint pinstripe lines that slant across the screen. It doesn't show during netflix, or other things, just the sharp homescreen”

• I don’t see that on my set. You May want to change the background which provides several to choose from.

• Yeah, it’s the sharp startup theme. Every other theme is nice and clean
