• You have Roku as the streaming platform. You choose which source you use - cable, antenna, Amazon Prime, Netflix etc. It doesn’t have anything to do with keeping cable and paid subscriptions. It makes everything easier to play because many icons are on the home screen. Plus you can add things like an app for HBO Go. I like it.

• No you don't need Roku. We have Direct TV and have access.

• You can use it with your cable box or the roku. Amazon prime is preloaded software and you just add your account info during setup
