• No my tv has not done that, but it does turn off after being on for about an hour

• I don't have this problem and mine was an open box item as well. The one you have must be a defect, I would contact the store you purchased it from or contact the manufacturer. Have you tried resetting it or check the settings to see if something was turned on?
