“Can my dish remote be programmed to turn on/off the tv, work the volume, change channels, etc? And if so can the tv go straight to satellite mode?”

• Yes you can programmed your providers remote to work the tv but it won't go straight to satellite mode. when the tv turn on it goes to the Roku home page and you'll need the original tv remote to select the satellite connection.
