• Yes you can use the Roku app to control regular Roku and Roku tv. I have a Roku and a Roku TV. When you use the iphone app and choose the Roku tv, you get more options that are for tv only.

• Yes. When you set up your ROKU account it will let you know about the application. I just ROKU App on my iPhone and it popped up and the remote on your iPhone is so easy to use and its honestly fun yo use. The remote app is just a bonus. You do have to create a ROKU account online and connect your TV but the TV come with a ROKU remote so you would be all set.
