The remote has not changed much, there are still no numeral keys.

Please try again later.yes, still same remote. you cannot use it to enter a channel number directly. you can,however, scroll up or down through channels one at a time, once you go to "home", then select "guide". or, just use your tv remote to change/select cable channels directly, once you have set up your cable tv/ digital adapter on your tv or roku tv as an input hdmi choice. additionally, if you have spectrum cable, you can sync your roku with spectrum using wifi to then receive spectrum's cable channels. however, you need to have a spectrum account/password/id and a roku account/password/id for this to work. go to spectrum's web site to find directions. once this is done and they are synced with each other, a "spectrum" icon will appear in your roku home screen. click it, and voila, you have all your spectrum cable channels delivered via the internet. still doesn't take care of the direct channel number entry issue, using the roku remote, but might come in handy nonetheless. good luck!
