“is there anyway to turn off the script that seems to be on when unit is off..the moving script says BLUE TOOTH STBWHY..can get annoying”

I believe you press the ECO button on your remote.

Hello, please try the below step to cancel the Bluetooth standby mode. Press the ECO button (remote control) during power standby mode. The unit will enter the low power consumption mode.

It may be that you're not powering down the unit itself, but turning off only the blue-tooth device you are using. Make sure you power down the Sharp unit itself - press the power on/off button.
