Hello Victor, the interior light goes on when the microwave is in operation but not when the door is opened.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It has a light, but only comes on when the oven is in use. the light does not come on when the door is open (at least by default, I have not seen any settings to allow the light to come on when the door is open)

Please try again later.Contacted Sharp customer service who indicated ridiculously argued that it is an eco-friendly feature to not have a light when you open/close the microwave or on the keypad. And they argued that they are not responsible for / can't speak to the information ont he Best buy site which does not explain this feature non-feature. Further they would said they would do nothing since they tell customers this defect on their website for Sharp. I mean... who goes the sharp website to look at this stuff... Sharp? More like Dumb.
