“I have a microwave stand that I really need to use. Problem is short power cords. Can I use a heavy duty extension cord or is there some other way to solve this problem. Lack of counter space is major problem.”

• Hello, if an extension cord is necessary use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-blade grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the appliance. The marked rating of the extension cord shall be equal to or greater than the electrical rating of the appliance.

• I have mine on a stand too and I just use a regular power cord. Never had a problem
