Hi there! Most SHARP microwaves do have defrost key. Press key. In the digital display (where time is displayed) you'll select a fairly user-friendly, step-by-step series of options to help tailor defrost cycle: weight/type of food, etc. I periodically open microwave during defrost to check whether it's defrosted, to stir ground meats, flip foods, etc. I've not needed an online owner's manual for my microwave. However, try this search: "owner's manual SHARP microwave model _______" All my best!
