“While reading the specs it looks like the control panel should light up. Ours is dark. What do we do to get it to illuminate? Sometimes we need to use a flashlight to read the control panel for our options. Will be so excited if this truly does light up.”

Hello Inthedark, the buttons on the control panel are not made to be back lit only the display screen, I am sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I do not know the answer to that as ours lights up. It is really a blue light. Have you called Best Buy or gone to the store to ask the salesman. It should come on when you plug it in.
