QuestionDoes the depth of 18.1" include the protrusion of the handle? I want to know the depth of the footprint, just the box, to know if it can sit on a cabinet shelf.

- Answer The cabinet is about 14-3/4” deep, the handle extends out about 1-1/2”, and then there is another area of the cabinet in the back that sticks out the back another 2 inches.

QuestionIs 1100 watts substantially better than 1000 watts?

- Answer 1100 watts lets you use a few seconds less cooking time. Sometimes that difference makes a significant change in your meal planning. If these few seconds are important to you then 1100w would be welcoming but we ARE talking seconds. Otherwise 1100 and 1000 are both good microwave wattages. Hope I didn't confuse you. If I did I apologize.
