1100 watts lets you use a few seconds less cooking time. Sometimes that difference makes a significant change in your meal planning. If these few seconds are important to you then 1100w would be welcoming but we ARE talking seconds. Otherwise 1100 and 1000 are both good microwave wattages. Hope I didn't confuse you.
