It does have its own warranty however I knew when I bought it that's such the great deal I was getting I would never replace it for as cheap as what I got this one so I got the warranty mainly so if something would happen I wouldn't have to worry about it and my understanding is the extend the warranty pics up after the manufacturer's warranty but what I like about warranties from Best buy is on an appliance like that they will replace it right away instead of making you wait till it is fixed any electronic or appliance that I've ever bought from Best buy usually has an extended warranty from them because of how great they are at the service
