Yes, they make excellent calls. I have had no complaints regarding the mic.

Yes, they work real well, you can set it up to have the tap spot do 2 different things. A double tap on mine answers and hangs up calls, a long 3 second hold activates Siri to give voice commands. Volume is only controlled by your phone though.

Yes, these can be used for calls. No issues so far with call quality on both ends.
