• The other passenger would not be able to hear them, however: you might not be able to hear them either. Since there is no ANC, the sound will be coming through at lower decibels than the plane, and the sound would be flushed out.

• depending on how loud the volume is set, its possible the person sitting next to you would be able to hear. but if its kept at a relatively low volume where its enough to hear for you, you should be good.
