Hi there! Shokz here. The OpenMove can be paired with a metal detector if the detector has Bluetooth capabilities, by putting the Open Move into pairing mode and selecting it from the Bluetooth settings on the metal detector; simply turn off the Open Move, then press and hold the volume up button until the LED light flashes red and blue, indicating pairing mode, then select "OpenMove by Shokz" on your metal detector's Bluetooth menu. If its bluetooth capable? Never would have thought a metal detector would have bluetooth capabilities
