• A:Answer No, the one we bought was specifically sold as a pre-pay for simple mobile network and can only be used with them. AT&T also had the same iphone for sale on a pre-pay plan for $175 or so, and I asked if it was transferable to AT&T post-pay plans & they said no, all pre-pay phones are locked to the networks pre-pay plan only, thus the low price point.

• A:Answer I suggest first you ask a cell technician if this kind of cell can be unlocked. If so, you make him unlock for you so you can make it work with any kind of SIM card from any provider in south america. That's what I usually do.
