• You do need to have Monitoring Service active in order for the system to communicate outside of the home - including for Smart Alerts. But to be clear, we do not have contracts. So you are able to subscribe and cancel service at any time.

• You would have to enroll in one of the PLANS to get notification. A PLAN brings the SimpliSafe response center into the loop. Without any PLAN, you are simply using the system SIREN(s) to scare off the intruder.

• You must sign up for the monthly service for notification and monitoring, but you don't have to sign a contract.

• There’s no contract it’s month-to-month and yes you have to use the $25 a month service for those notifications .
