Hi! The Entry Sensor is able to sense its magnet within 2 inches, so the two pieces don't necessarily need to be right up against each other. It might be possible to place the magnet just close enough that it can be detected. Or you might be able to place the magnet on the inside of the frame, so that the door itself swings past it.
