This is the biggest complaint about this doorbell. Only an alert on your phoneif someone rings the bell. Sound outside, alert inside is on your phone. If you walk su from your phone in the house, you won't know it rang. Everyone in the family would need the app on their phone top get alerts AND have their phone nearby. We're constantly miss these notifications.

Yes, because it’s an actual doorbell as well so it chimes with your existing doorbell .

They need the Simplisafe app and phone to view the door camera (like any other SimpliSafe camera) as well as account password.
