Hello, My sister has the same one and she just uses it the way that it is. You can just turn it on and adjust the sound with the switches on the microphone. Charge it when the battery is getting low. She goes on youtube and sing along with the songs. Nothing to difficult. It's pretty easy to use in my opinion. The sound is not going to change.
