• This piece does not have a usb output. If all you have is a usb input in your car, then you can use this piece behind your car radio to interrupt the antenna signal and then your sirius audio will play thru there.

• I know nothing about electronics, so I'm not a great one to answer your q. I only purchased what Best Buy's installer recommended. But if it's any help, he did tell me to purchase an additional cable because the "Direct Audio Relay" you're inquiring about, was missing it. So perhaps that's the USB cable you're concerned about??
