• No you don't. It will warn you that it can't establish an internet connection but just click cancel and it will screen advance past that and be fine.

• If you have the SXHD3 or SXHD4 home kit that should be all you need for the home use. The antenna will need to be placed in a location that has a clear view of the southern sky (through a window or placed outside)
