I see that there is a Sirius/XM marine antenna available. This might be worth looking into for use on a boat. I have no idea what the difference is between it and a standard magnetic roof antenna is though.

It is meant to work in either moving or stopped positions, As long as you can mount the antenna in a clear sight of the sky, You should have no problems at all.
