You will need to setup a family account with SiriusXM. This will allow you to have your GM account and then add another subscription, at a discounted rate, for the Onyx Plus radio. If you login to your online account, you can easily add a second subscription under your current account.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You will need a separate subscription for each receiver you have. If your GM receiver is built in, it can't be used in another vehicle. I had this problem several years ago with my Dodge. I had a home receiver with a vehicle kit, like the Onyx and my Dodge receiver, which was built into the truck radio. I kept them both for a while, because you do get a discount on a second subscription, but the cost was significant. I bought a stand alone vehicle docking kit (without receiver) and mounted it in my Dodge. this allowed me to cancel the truck subscription. I now have just my home subscription, with the one receiver, and it works in both vehicles. You do have the minor inconvenience of transferring the receiver from vehicle to vehicle, and you have to run lines for antenna & power (12 V cig. lighter) but you also save a lot of money. Note: this approach works best when your radio has an audio input jack on it, so that the audio can be channeled directly into your speaker system without any interference. Otherwise, you have to send the signal to an unused frequency location on the FM band - or purchase the optional FM modulator that attaches to the antenna line and allows the receiver signal to disable the FM antenna signal.
