• I have used mine this way for years. I use the SirisXM SXSD2 Portable Dock and route the antenna to where it car "see" the satellite. The Dock has everything you need and runs on AC or D Cell batteries (you can take it outdoors). I hope this helps!

• You would need to get the home kit - SXDH4. this has a dock, power supply, home antenna and audio cables to connect to you stereo system. You would then be able to just move the Onyx Plus radio between your home and your car.
