Yes, this can be plugged into an aux port to operate.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can connect the audio output of the Stratus 7 to the auxiliary input of the radio. However, you will have to provide a separate antenna. I believe the Stratus 7 came with one. While the instructions will say to install on the roof, in the past mine has worked fine with the antenna being placed on the dashboard. You will also need to provide power to the Stratus via the power outlet on the car (aka cigarette lighter). Note: if you already have another SiriusXM subscription, the multi subscription rate on the new one is only a bit more that the ala carte program and you can use the radio already in your car.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is correct vehicle radios will not get the a la carte package, not sure why. I think your car antenna will work with the Stratus 7 when you plug the aux cord from the Stratus 7. Best Buy has the unit on sale for $14.99 at times I would get one then, call Sirius for a one month to 3 month subscription. that way if your not pleased with it you can cancel. When you call to cancel Sirius will offer you a 6 month or 1 year deal at a fraction of the costs of their subscription price.
