That was my experience as well. Returning it for this reason
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Brutally slow boot time. After spending about 2 hours installing this in my girlfriends car (tucked in all the wires for a beautiful installation), we were disappointed to find this out. She works only about 5 minutes away from her house so she's about half way to work before this thing is ready. Today she mentioned returning it... UGH, guess who gets to uninstall it, but I don't blame her. Unacceptable boot time for a $150 dedicated Sirius radio device. MAYBE, hard wiring it to a constant (non-switched) 12v wire would allow it to go to "sleep" so that it boots faster but doesn't drain the battery overnight or over a few days if the car isn't driven, but that's just speculation on my part.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine has the same long boot time. My old car has a SiriusXM built-in and it has instant on, so it must be something related to the design of the radio.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's awful. I only use this unit on long drives, and in the house, so worth keeping. But it is annoying. And if you are out somewhere it will will try to connect to wifi even if none is around, another waste. The commends here about the interface and it needing to take time to load that is laughable. My smart oven starts faster, as does every burner phone I've ever used. Buy one of the older units; far better performance.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tour features SiriusXM’s next generation 360L user interface designed for ease of use, content discovery, and personalization. It combines both Satellite broadcasting and Internet streaming services. It utilizes the Android OS, and the SiriusXM software is layered on top of it. All this sophisticated technology requires a relatively longer initialization time than other SiriusXM aftermarket radios marketed in the past.
