Why are batteries included What are the batteries for? None of the other headphones mention batteries for anything.

The batteries are to control the extra bass. It is adjustable to suit your needs and you can use the headphones without the extra bass as well. They are great headphones if you are a bass lover like myself.

These ones have a built in sub so you need it for the bass booster. The older version of these also needed batteries as well. It makes a big difference when the sub is on.

Because these headphones have such large drivers in the ear cups, they require batteries to power them. Other headphones use batteries to power noise-cancelling features.

I believe the batteries are to power the miniature bass cannons inside these headphones. I think each earpiece has 2 separate drivers (subs) inside them, and they produce head-pounding bass. I guess they might need a little extra juice... And there is no "ON/OFF" switch. They automatically power off when you unplug them from the source.

They included 2 rechargeable batteries that last a long time. Charge last many hours. The batteries are there so the headphone will work.
