Sound about the same. Beats are VERY over rated (you are paying basically for the name) and have WAY TOO much bottom end to the EQ curve. If you listen to rap or hip hop, then you will like both both these and the Beats will be fine. If you want a more flatter, natural sound, go for a more 'pro' set of headphones from Sennheiser or Audio-Technica. My advice is to buy headphones with a FLAT EQ profile and adjust the EQ to your liking with your device so that you can use them to listen to all styles of music instead of being locked into one sound.
